This one, I think, is “Crown of Thorns.” At least, that’s what it’s called in Kenya, where we saw lots of it. Quite wonderful in Oaxaca. I am just back TODAY from a 2-week stay there and spent way too much time looking for a a book of photographs of the flowering plants w/names. NADA! Why not? Seems it would be a MUST for a place w/so many flowering trees and vines! If you find one, let me know! deanna@summitmail.org. Gracias!
Thanks for your comment. I’ll ask my Oaxaca friends on Facebook what the name of this flower might be. Perhaps, someone there will know. I have never looked for a reference book to flowers in Oaxaca, but I am surprised that you did not find one. Oaxaca has the greatest amount of biological diversity in Mexico, at least according to what I have read.
